Обсуждение: Updated Code of Conduct Translations
Hello Web team,
Would you mind updating all translated versions of the Code of Conduct with the new translations?
The following English text has been translated: „A term for a Committee member is one (1) year. A Committee member may serve no more than three (3) terms consecutively.” (You can find it in the fifth paragraph of the Code of Conduct.)
Let me know if you need more details or documents in different formats.
Here are the names and email addresses of folks who did the translations:
German translation of the Code of Conduct
- Translated by: Andreas Scherbaum <ads@pgug.de>
French translation of the Code of Conduct
- Translated by: Guillaume Lelarge <guillaume@lelarge.info>
- Reviewed by: Stefan Fercot <stefan.fercot@protonmail.com>
Hebrew translation of the Code of Conduct
- Translated by: Michael Goldberg <mic.goldberg@gmail.com>
Italian translation of the Code of Conduct
- Translated by: Federico Campoli <rotellaro@gmail.com>
Russian translation of the Code of Conduct
- Translated by: Alexander Lakhin <exclusion@gmail.com>
Chinese translation of the Code of Conduct
- Translated by: Bo Peng <pengbo@sraoss.co.jp>
Japanese translation of the Code of Conduct
- Translated by: Tatsuo Ishii <ishii@sraoss.co.jp>
Thank you!
Lucie

Putting all of these in patch format would help, though given these are a series of small changes it won't be too tedious, just a bit time consuming. I can work on this. Thanks, Jonathan

Thanks for pulling this together and thanks to all of the translators. Some feedback that would make this easier in the future: it would to send a patch or series of patches to apply the changes, similar to how the Japanese translation was delivered. That would ensure the changes are in their correct places. For this update, it was not too difficult to change the text, but for some of the languages I was less familiar with, I had to rely on a translation tool to figure out the correct line to make the swap. For an update with many changes, there is a higher probability that I could make a mistake applying the changes to the website. Again, thanks for updating the translations! Jonathan
Thank you for your help and feedback, Jonathan. I will discuss with the rest of the CoC Committee if we should make a patch the mandatory part of the Code of Conduct translationprocess.
