greetings, some time ago I filled out the "new service provider" form on postgresql.org for a "virtual private server" provider called "data slab". if there are additional details required in order for the submission to be approved, or if there is some other issue preventing it from being listed, please let me know. regards, jeff -- http://zoidtechnologies.com/ "websites that suck less"

Now if the listing were to offer pre-installed VPS's with PG+Apache+PHP, and there was specific support for that software combination (or some similar set of technologies), then it would qualify. Note that we also expect such support to be mentioned on the companies website. -- Dave Page EnterpriseDB UK: http://www.enterprisedb.com The Oracle-compatible database company

No - that was merely a suggestion for something that would have got Jeff's listing approved. -- Dave Page EnterpriseDB UK: http://www.enterprisedb.com The Oracle-compatible database company

What I meant was, is there a write up somewhere that generally describes how we evaluation each submission for approval. If we don't have that, we appear arbitrary. Joshua D. Pretty sure you already know that the only actual policy we have is the news/events one :-p Everything else is technically arbitrary, though implemented in a fairly uniform way by sensible people. -- Dave Page EnterpriseDB UK: http://www.enterprisedb.com The Oracle-compatible database company

Well actually I didn't :), we actually have several policies the news/events one, the booth policy, the release policy (well that is more of a task list I guess), and the folders policy. I just wasn't sure if one was hiding somewhere I didn't know about. Perhaps a link tab on the wiki for all policies is appropriate? Sincerely, Joshua D. Well, I can't see any of that happening for FOSDEM - we don't even have T-Shirts :-( I assume you're not trying to apply any of this to PG-specific events? -- Dave Page EnterpriseDB UK: http://www.enterprisedb.com The Oracle-compatible database company

Well I apply it to anyone that I am a part of. :) Which means: WEST EAST SCALE OSCON LWE Upcoming LinuxFest NW We of course would like to see it happen at *all* the shows but it does take organizational efforts to pull it off and I only have two hands. I was kind of hoping that PGEU would help pick up the slack on the other side of the pond. Sincerely, Joshua D.
