Обсуждение: Can not connect to the server using a password

When I have passwords active I can not connect to my Database server.
PgAdminIII can connect just fine.
I have tried MD5 and crypt but no luck.
I do set the password in the connect method is there some thing else I
need to do?

Just guessing, but is pgadmin on the same machine?

Chances are you don't have it listening on the ethernet ethernet
interface
