Обсуждение: LAMP pgsql article
Thought I would check the O'Reilly Network web site, and clicking on MySQL in the left margin, the first article that appears is a PostgreSQL one: http://www.onlamp.com/pub/a/onlamp/2003/11/13/rdbms_tuning.html -- Bruce Momjian | http://candle.pha.pa.us pgman@candle.pha.pa.us | (610) 359-1001 + If your life is a hard drive, | 13 Roberts Road + Christ can be your backup. | Newtown Square, Pennsylvania 19073

>Did they mention what "more interest" meant? > > > Well it is kind of a catch-22. They want more PostgreSQL articles (which is a proposal I am working on) but they also don't want to overload and not get the return they are looking for. I am actually in the process of writing a proposal to them for several articles that I would pass to the pgwriters to handle. I know they would be interested in higher end PostgreSQL cool stuff... Especially since 7.4 just came out. Sincerley, Joshua D. Hi Joshua, What are you finding to be the most effective way of getting places interested in PostgreSQL articles? :-) Regards and best wishes, Justin Clift Joshua D. I've already written a number of articles about Postgres. As a matter of fact my next one on Postgres is being published in Europe and translated into 4 languages. The secret is NOT to TALK about it but to USE it in a very real way. Oh, and by the way OReilly has already indicated to me that they don't mind if I write about postgres, lucky for me they like my writing. And of course, PostgreSQL General Bits is back from a two week vacation on Monday. I publish 4 to 6 items each week about PostgreSQL from www.varlena.com/GeneralBits. General Bits is translated into both Spanish and Portuguese. A year's worth of General Bits articles on PostgreSQL could count as "more articles". My hit rate is not bad at all. Of course General Bits could be a better advocate with a better link placement on postgresql.org. hint, hint ;-) elein@varlena.com ============================================================ elein@varlena.com Varlena, LLC www.varlena.com PostgreSQL Consulting, Support & Training PostgreSQL General Bits http://www.varlena.com/GeneralBits/ ============================================================= "Free your mind the rest will follow" -- En Vogue On Sat, Nov 29, 2003 at 06:42:18AM -0500, Robert Bernier wrote: > I've already written a number of articles about Postgres.
