"Members Choice Awards" are much the same as "Readers Choice Awards" are much the same as "Voting for All Star Teams" and it all amounts to people stuffing ballot boxes in favor of their local 'team.' Of course, when it's baseball fans trying to get their favorite players onto an "all star" team, you can at least be reasonably certain that those getting voted for were the best players on the local team, and accordingly likely rank well in the league. -- (format nil "~S@~S" "aa454" "freenet.carleton.ca") http://www3.sympatico.ca/cbbrowne/sgml.html One last point about metaphor, poetry, etc. As an example to illustrate these capabilities in Sastric Sanskrit, consider the "bahuvrihi" construct (literally "man with a lot of rice") which is used currently in linguistics to describe references outside of compounds.
