Quite a lot have happened since PostgreSQL 8.0 as well, which is the version that is the basis for the first and most recent of the above books. I would like to suggest a printed version of the official reference manual. Information about that and where to get it can be found here: http://www.network-theory.co.uk/postgresql/ The official reference manual is also freely available in PDF or HTML format, thus you'll always have access to the most up-to-date information: http://www.postgresql.org/docs/manuals/ Regards, -- Lars Haugseth "If anyone disagrees with anything I say, I am quite prepared not only to retract it, but also to deny under oath that I ever said it." -Tom Lehrer
