The documentation is generally good, it is just terrible to navigate and find anything. I also think some more examples throughout the docs would be useful. In my ideal world, you type in www.postgresql.org and see a search box on the main page. You type in "pg_hba" and get instantly redirected to a page about the pg_hba.conf file. You type in "How do I change the value of a sequence?" and get directed to a page with a quick summary of sequence functions, and links to more details.
