ECPG can be a good replcement for Pro*C
You can see the detailed documentation for that at http://www.postgresql.org/docs/8.1/interactive/ecpg.html
Hope this helps...

I'm planning to migrate database from Oracle to PostgreSQL.
I think there are some challenges in migrating Pro*C/COBOL, binary
data(especially move to different endian platform), stored procedures.
I think that I can apply swissql to PL/SQL, but I don't have any idea to
migrate Pro*C/COBOL without doing hands on changes.
1. Is there any good solution?
2. Can I use ecpg instead of Pro*C? How can I migrate?
