To clarify further, I am using the RPMs from the postgresql.org website. I installed the SRPM, changed the /src/include/postgres_ext.h, retar-balled the postgres-7.0.3 dir, and reinstalled the rpms (rpm -e, rpm -Uvh). I don't know if this helps or if there is something I need to do further (probably so). If needed, what docs explain your followup proceedure. I really appreciate everyones help.
