I've never had a problem with compiling PgSQL under FreeBSD since we first started developing it way way back in the v1.01 days ... out of the 6 core developers, two are FreeBSD (Vadim and myself), one is BSDi (Bruce), one is Linux (Thomas Lockhart) and ... Jan/Tom, I haven't got a clue :)
