You can pass it through the pg_connect function. http://www.php.net/manual/en/function.pg-connect.php That would lead to my question concerning this. Which is better, pg_connect or pg_pconnect? I seem to get better results when I use pconnect when the db is on a different server than the web server but when they are both on the same server connect works fine. Any suggestions? Tim.
