I had the same problem ,,, I don't know if you solved this already . but the documentation on bzip2 is bad, (inconstant)... I ended up downloading the windows version of bzip2, unzipping the bzip2 package using windows, then untaring in bash in cgywin. The ggywin unload proces is slick, but they give you a million options, and don't tell which is required and which is not for postgres. If you search through the cygwin install list, there is a bzip2 installation pack, also remember to install the GCC pack (If you installed it the way I did, this will be your next failure). These are both required for the postgreSQL win install. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Arthur Nicewick American Management Systems Corporate Technology Group art_nicewick@ams.com (703) 267-856 Quote of the week: Insanity: Doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results. -- Albert Einstein, physicist (1879-1955) |--------+---------------------------------> | | "Russell Black" | | | <rblack@iarchives.com> | | | Sent by: | | | pgsql-cygwin-owner@post| | | gresql.org | | | | | | | | | 02/15/02 03:23 PM | | | | |--------+---------------------------------> >-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------| | | | To: "Henshall, Stuart - WCP" <SHenshall@westcountrypublications.co.uk>, | | <pgsql-cygwin@postgresql.org> | | cc: | | Subject: Re: Multiple sending (was RE: [CYGWIN] problem with tar) | >-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------| I am ...
