Database Administrator



Database Administrator will be responsible for critical decisions with
database architecture, deployment, control processes and procedures for
implementation and maintenance of PostgreSQL databases across the
enterprise.

The successful candidate will implement data models, data access and
table maintenance codes; resolve database performance issues, database
capacity issues, replication, and other distributed data issues.

Successful experience in migrating from mySQL to PostgreSQL is a
definite plus.

Also, in-depth knowledge of database monitoring, performance tuning,
backup & recovery, support and diagnostic tools is a must. Must be
willing to learn and work with other relational databases as needed for
supporting the customer's business requirements.

The successful candidate will have the following:
* 2+ Years PostgreSQL Experience
* 2+ Years mySQL Experience
* 2+ Years MS SQL + Access Experience
* Strong Linux, Apache, and Unix Skills

Desired skills:
* Experience with PHP, PERL, HTML, XML and URL structure.
* Successful migration from mySQL to PostgreSQL
