I am using latest pgAdmin (when i receive notice of new version i am updating it)
Currently it is v4.26 x86 on Windows 10 (64bit) and Firefox Browser 81.0.1 (64 bit)

And it works like that since i have start to use postgres 11 (at beginning of 2020) at all of the versions of pgAdmin.

I didn't see that behaviour on pg v3 and postgres 9.3

pgAdmin closes the session on closing the query window.  Which version of pgAdmin are you using?
