Uh? It's 77 lists. Of which 69 are shown. That's pretty far from "a couple of hundred". That said, it would be nice to make that thing a bit neater. Not sure how easy it is to do under the standard form, but with a custom template we should be able to use optgroup tags at least. That should make it more user friendly - you think it would be enough? Otherwise I guess we could create one form for each subgroup - e.g. a /community/lists/subscribe/developer/. But that seems like a worse solution to the potential problem.
