Earlier PostgreSQL RPM's depended upon postgresql-clients, which depended upon tk being installed, etc. There are MIPS binaries available for 6.5.3 for Japanese users at http://alpha.or.jp/Cobalt/index.html I would say that you could grab the source RPM for this and rebuild -- however, you'll need to comment out the build and install areas for pgaccess -- and change the configure options as well. Rebuilding from source requires much more than installing the binaries. There may be other MIPS RPM's floating around that I'm not familiar with -- if anyone knows of these, I'd like to know as well. I'm going to add a section on my site (http://www.ramifordistat.net/postgres) on RPM's for non-intel machines. -- Lamar Owen WGCR Internet Radio 1 Peter 4:11
