Extra Info: Michael has tested a small app for me on his system that connects to PostgreSQL and attempts to execute SELECT version() (as pgAdmin does) using ADO. The SELECT failed giving an error: Error 430 - Class does not support Automation or does not support expected interface. > -----Original Message----- > From: Michael Meskes [mailto:meskes@postgreSQL.org] > Sent: 14 January 2000 07:09 > To: swift@eturnkey.com > Cc: pgsql-interfaces@postgreSQL.org > Subject: Re: [INTERFACES] Setup of PGAdmin > > > On Thu, Jan 13, 2000 at 01:20:27PM +0000, swift@eturnkey.com wrote: > > However when I try to access a database I continue to get > error message > > that states: > > > > "The selected database is not a PostgreSQL v6.5.x system!" > > Me too. This now appears to almost certainly be a problem with MDAC/Windows (which are not unheard of ;-)) Some questions to you both: - Have you run earlier versions of pgAdmin? - What versions of DCOM and MDAC have you installed (2.1.1.3711.11 is the current version)? - What language & version of Windows are you running? - What version of Internet Explorer is installed? - Do you have (and what version) MS Office installed?
