Sure, but it's worthless :)) Try, better, /var/lib/postgres, also a PGLIB=/usr/local/pgsql/lib and
PATH=$PATH:/usr/local/pgsql/bin(replace the /usr/local/pgsql with your path to where postgres is installed)
