I don't really think this is worth arguing about. I'm not trying to detect all forms of screwed up design - I'm trying to detect minor variants of the standard format that are commonly used by third party applications. If people don't like the patch, just move the item to the "not wanted" section of the TODO list and let's move onto the next thing. Personally, I think it's useful and harmless, but everyone is entitled to their own opinion and it's certainly not worth anyone, including me, popping a cork over.
