Maybe there's lots of data loss but the records of data loss are also lost. ;) It's just most people aren't born with Murphy Field Intensifiers. e.g. I just pressed F1 on a PC BIOS screen option and got contents of some unknown portion of memory spewed on screen - looks like some server logs ( java etc). Didn't happen with other BIOS options. Bug in BIOS. Rebooted to somewhat clear the memory and it didn't happen. Link.
