ITPUG - Italian PostgreSQL Users Group is pleased to announce that PGDay.IT 2019 will be held on May 16th and May 17th in Bologna, Italy. The formula is the same of last edition: - May 16th, 2019: Workshop Day with 4-hour practical sessions; - May 16th, 2019: PG_beer will be in the same location of PGDay.IT 2019; - May 17th, 2019: Conference with Italian track, track in English and interesting keynote. The Call for Papers and the Call for Workshops are now open: - Call for Papers: https://2019.pgday.it/en/blog/cfp - Call for Workshops: https://2019.pgday.it/en/blog/cfw Deadline: January 15, 2019 Accepted talks and workshops will be announced on January 31, 2019. We look forward to receiving many submissions from a variety of people, including you! Some examples of relevant talk topics: - Case studies - New PostgreSQL features - Advanced and/or novel use of PostgreSQL features - Benchmarking & hardware - Scaling / replication - Backup and Disaster Recovery - Migration projects Each talk will last precisely 45 minutes (including questions if you wish). There will also be a session of 5-minute long lightning talks at the end of the Conference.
