Simon's email a few weeks ago is probably a decent starting point:

From that:

  * SQL compliant identifiers
  * Remove RULEs
  * Change recovery.conf
  * Change block headers
  * Retire template0, template1
  * Optimise FSM
  * Add heap metapage
  * Alter tuple headers
  et al
