No, Pg Admin connects to 5432 as that is PostgreSQL's server port. One popular misconfiguration I've seen is that the connection/traffic is *to* port 5432 on the server, not from port 5432 on the client. So, depending on your firewall you need rule 1 on it's own (if it supports keeping state) or rule 1 AND 2: Rule 1: Allow from <client IP> to <server IP> destination port 5432 source port any Rule 2: Allow from <server IP> to <client IP> destination port any source port 5432 If that doesn't work, post the relevant section of your firewall configuration.
