It doesn't matter what you think of Microsoft, Visual Studio is an excellent environment for development and debugging - far better in my view than Eclipse, Kdevelop or XCode. Anyway, I've just committed another refactoring patch which also removes the solution folders. Patches to support Mingw (again - it got broken years back) are welcome. BTW - there's more refactoring coming up - you might want to hold off on any complex merges.
