concatenation varchar and float

Hi all,

Does anyone known fi it's possible to make a concatenation of varchar
and float.
I try the request bellow and I don't known how to correct.
seed=> select ((('"' || station) || ('" "' || begining)) || ('" "' ||
ending)) || ('" "' || latitude)  from station;
