I'm having the following problem while compiling Postgres 6.4.2 on a Dec Alpha (Multia, an Alpha - 21066a) running Red Hat Alpha-Linux. I was wondering if anyone out there has any clues as to why datetime.c is bombing the compiler - and if so, if there are any patches out there to remedy the problem. Here's a clip of the make----------- make[3]: Entering directory `/usr/local/pg/postgresql-6.4.2/src/backend/utils/ad t' gcc -I../../../include -I../../../backend -O2 -mieee -Wall -Wmissing-prototypes -I../.. -c datetime.c -o datetime.o datetime.c: In function `datetime_date': datetime.c:290: internal error--unrecognizable insn: (insn53 66 67 (clobber (reg:DI 42 $f10)) -1 (insn_list:REG_DEP_ANTI 66 (nil)) (expr_list:REG_UNUSED (reg:DI 42 $f10) (nil))) gcc: Internal compiler error: program cc1 got fatal signal 6 make[3]: *** [datetime.o] Error 1 make[3]: Leaving directory `/usr/local/pg/postgresql-6.4.2/src/backend/utils/adt ' ... make[2]: *** No rule to make target `adt/SUBSYS.o', needed by `SUBSYS.o'.
