It's worth considering, but on the other hand Oracle users greatly outnumber Compaq/RDB users these days... If there's no SQL92 guidance for implementing a feature, I'm pretty much in favor of tracking Oracle, whose SQL dialect is rapidly becoming a de-facto standard. I'm not saying I like the fact, Oracle's a pain in the ass.
