Initial Comment:
In version 08_02_0200, the following query was updatable:

SELECT tbl1.pk, tbl1.data FROM tbl1
 INNER JOIN tbl2 ON tbl1.fk = tbl2.pk
 ;

In public releases 08_02_0300 and above, that query is no longer updatable.

Incidentally, the same happens with this query:

SELECT tbl1.pk, tbl1.data FROM tbl1
 -- INNER JOIN tbl2 ON tbl1.fk = tbl2.pk
 ;

even if the join is commented out as denoted by the "--".

We need those kinds of queries (the first kind, not the commented out one) to be updatable because that way we can
restrictthe query using fields from tbl2 by means of a WHERE clause. We've had to downgrade the version to 08_02_0200.
