Uh, this patch is strange: -#define WHITESPACE "\f\n\r\t\v" /* as defined by isspace() */ +#define WHITESPACE "\f\n\r\t\v\0" /* as defined by isspace() */ They are processed the same by the backend because every string has a trailing null.
