Represent a newline by `\n'.

Double the single quotes.  A double quote inside single quotes doesn't
need escaping.

(2 rows)

junk=# select * from x where x like '%''%';

junk=# select * from x where x ~ '''';
   x
--------
 O'Hara
(1 row)
