This time I have tested on another slower/less memory machine. Seems
things getting worse. I got:
LockAcquire: xid table corrupted

This comes from:

STATUS_ERROR;   }
 

As you can see the aquired master lock never released, and all
backends get stucked. (of course, corrupted xid table is a problem too
).

Another error was:
out of free buffers: time to abort !

I will do more testing...
