Los Angeles / Senior Postgres DB role

Hello,

I have a solid opportunity to introduce with a client of ours located in West Los Angeles.

It’s a full time direct hire role and compensation is above market value with benefits.

Not a large shop...Around 2 to 3 db’s per production, dev and staging...

Requirements:

- Experience managing and maintaining a RDBMS, preferably PostgreSQL or comparable experience with Oracle/MySQL including:
- Tuning databases
- Implementing database replication / clustering
- Implementing database backups
- Managing database security
- Managing database users and access control
- Strong SQL query writing and optimization skills, including stored procedures
- Knowledge of database design, including logical and physical design
- Excellent troubleshooting skills
- Experience testing and debugging code
- Experience advising developers on database related issues
- Experience with Unix/Linux

- Experience with PostgreSQL HA / Load Balancing scenarios
- Familiarity with PL/PGSQL procedure language
- Experience with RDMS migration (i.e. from PostgreSQL to MySQL, etc.)
- Experience with PHP and Shell Scripting
