I hate to say this, but could not duplicate this issue after setting up
a clean -CentOS- 6.6 VM. Here are the steps I did:

* Install 6.6
* Install PGDG 9.2 and EPEL repo RPMs
* yum install postgis2_92
* yum install hdf5-devel json-c-devel

Might be something with RHEL. I have the iso, but do not have the
subscription, so I cannot tell what is going on :(
