01/25/2010 First, let me thank everyone who has provided support for the project over the years. We never expected it to grow as quickly or aggressively as it did. In an effort to continue to provide the highest quality packages to our community we are making some changes. Effective immediately, the RPM project will no longer generate RPMs for software that is considered legacy by their respective communities or companies. What does this mean to you the user? It means that we will no longer build packages for operating systems such as Fedora 10. Nor would we build PostgreSQL 7.3 packages for CentOS 5. As both Fedora 10 and PostgreSQL 7.3 are considered unsupported. We will continue to provide the SRPM of the work that we do on supported operating systems and therefore it is possible for the user themselves to modify the spec file to enable a build on a legacy system. Drake -- PostgreSQL.org Major Contributor Command Prompt, Inc: http://www.commandprompt.com/ - 503.667.4564 Consulting, Training, Support, Custom Development, Engineering Respect is earned, not gained through arbitrary and repetitive use or Mr. or Sir.
