I just installed NetBSD 8.2 in a VM, and it passes this test: # +++ tap install-check in src/bin/psql +++ t/001_basic.pl ........... ok t/010_tab_completion.pl .. ok t/020_cancel.pl .......... ok All tests successful. So it seems like the bug does not exist in any currently-supported NetBSD release. Debian has been known to ship obsolete libedit versions, though. regards, tom lane
